Crystallization - Struvite

The precipitation of phosphates in the form of struvite (MgNH4PO4,6H2O) makes it possible to cleanse the effluents and to produce an agronomic fertilizer.
  • Precipitation of phosphates

Studies in laboratory can make it possible to define the feasibility of this process starting from the effluents to be treated. The study of the precipitation of phosphates consists in adding a magnesian reagent Mg(OH)2) to basic pH. The objective is to determine the output on the abatement of phosphates as well as the purity of the precipitate obtained.
