Precipitation of phosphates
Studies in laboratory can
make it possible to define the feasibility of this process starting
from the effluents to be treated.
The study of the precipitation of phosphates consists in adding a
magnesian reagent Mg(OH)
2)
to basic pH. The objective is to determine the output on the abatement
of phosphates as well as the purity of the precipitate obtained.

Crystals
of struvite after
simultaneous precipitation of nitrogen and phosphorus and
crystals of struvite observed under the microscope
Principle: Magnesium
addition in slightly basic pH
Results:
Output of precipitation and analyzes crystals obtained
