Sludge valorisation resulting from anaerobic digestion

During anaerobic digestion, organic nitrogen is mineralised in ammoniacal form (NH4+) and organic phosphorus in the form of phosphates. Naskeo Environnement proposes two  innovating processes, making it possible to recover for an agricultural valorization ammoniacal nitrogen and phosphates contained in the effluents at the digester's end.
  • Ammonia stripping

Stripping makes it possible to recover the ammoniacal nitrogen of the effluents in a concentrated sulfate solution of ammonia, easily transportable and usable like manure.
The various stages of the process are the following ones:
 - Stripping in basic medium of volatile ammonia in a column of gas exchange/liquid
 - Absorption of ammonia degassed by a sulphuric acid solution.
Pilote de stripping
A study in laboratory makes it possible to determine the output of extraction on ammoniacal nitrogen (NH4+) in a column controls 1m.

Principle: Tests of the process in column of 1m height of garnishing and 10cm of diameter Results: Output of stripping according to the operating conditions
